Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services it Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, resources and related services offered through starreportx. The policy governs transactions involving professional studio production materials that include guidance on equipment setup, camera operation techniques, lighting design, sound wave management and workflow optimisation for television news and live broadcasts. It covers individual course access, bundled subscriptions and any supplementary digital downloads. Physical goods are not supplied under this policy. The policy is intended for consumers located in the United Kingdom and is drafted in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and UK GDPR together with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included in the advertised price where applicable. No hidden charges apply for standard digital delivery. Any optional add-ons such as extended access periods or certification modules are clearly priced before checkout. Currency conversion fees may be levied by the customer’s card issuer when payments are made from outside the United Kingdom; starreportx does not control or reimburse such fees.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security
Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfer where pre-arranged. Card payments are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. Authorisation occurs in real time and funds are reserved until the order is confirmed. starreportx does not store full card details. All transactions are encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols. Customers receive an email confirmation once payment has been successfully authorised.
Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract is Formed
A contract is formed when starreportx sends an order confirmation email following successful payment. The confirmation contains details of the purchased course access, licence terms and instructions for account activation. Until this email is received the order remains subject to acceptance. Digital content becomes available immediately upon confirmation unless a scheduled start date has been selected.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under UK consumer law customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which they may cancel without giving a reason. Cancellation must be notified in writing to [email protected]. For digital content the right to cancel ends once download or streaming has begun if the customer has expressly consented to immediate access and acknowledged that the right will be lost. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time after the initial 14 days but no pro-rata refund is provided for the remaining period.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available during the cooling-off period provided no substantial access to the digital content has occurred. Refunds are not granted for completed courses, downloaded materials or services that have been fully performed. Promotional or discounted purchases may carry different refund conditions that are stated at the time of sale. Non-refundable items include customised learning plans and any third-party certification fees paid on the customer’s behalf.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund the customer must send an email to [email protected] containing the order number, full name, registered email address and a clear statement requesting cancellation. The request must be received within the applicable time limit. starreportx will acknowledge receipt within two working days and provide further instructions if additional evidence is required.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision
Upon receipt of a refund request starreportx will review account access logs to confirm eligibility. A decision will be communicated by email within ten working days. Approved refunds will state the amount and expected processing time. Rejected requests will include the reason and any available options for appeal or partial credit.
Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Refunds are issued using the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear on the customer’s statement within five to ten working days although the customer’s bank may extend this period. PayPal refunds are usually processed within three working days. Bank transfers are completed within seven working days. starreportx is not responsible for delays caused by the customer’s financial institution.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers
Digital courses are supplied as non-tangible goods. Once streaming or download begins the customer loses the right to cancel under the cooling-off period if prior consent was given. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the terms stated at purchase and generally do not qualify for refunds beyond the standard cooling-off period. Service bookings such as live workshops are non-refundable once the session has commenced.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments will result in the order being placed on hold and access suspended until payment is successfully completed. Duplicate charges are investigated upon notification to [email protected] and corrected within five working days. Chargebacks are treated as potential fraud and may lead to account suspension pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity is reported to the relevant authorities in accordance with UK law.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom that the Policy Cannot Exclude
Nothing in this policy affects the customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable legislation. Customers retain the right to claim for faulty digital content, misdescription or failure to perform services with reasonable care and skill. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
Contact Route, Policy Changes, and Last-Updated Date
